Assalamualaikum.

We wish you a happy and blessed Eid ul-Adha. May Allah accept your good deeds.

First time beraya tanpa ahli keluarga yang lain, sedih tu lain macam skit. Call parents pn takleh nak cakap lama, emosi tak stabil, haha.. Apatah lagi dgr suara abah yg sedih2 tu, hadoi berjujuran ayaq mata iolss dlm perjalanan tu. Bukan sesak dgn jemaah haji, tapi org yg tak buat haji... Ramai tak terkata. Borak dgn pinoy sebelah masa abes solat, dia ckp kalini raya haji mmg ramai, tak mcm tahun2 sebelumnya. Dia pun agak terkejut jgk.

Sedikit Sejarah Ringkas Madain Saleh
Madain Saleh adalah sebuah kota bekas peninggalan umat Nabi Saleh, kaum Thamud di Al-Hijr. Pada tahun 2008, UNESCO's World Heritage Committee (WHC) bersetuju menyenaraikan Madain Saleh dalam World Heritage List (WHL). Madain Saleh is a Nabataen city which is hewed out of the rock, similar to the style of the famous PETRA which is located in Jordan.

(QS: Al A’raf [7]: 73-74)

Allah berfirman: “Dan demi sesungguhnya penduduk ‘al-Hijr’ (Mada’in Salih) telah mendustakan para Rasul.

Mengapa perlu menangis ketika melalui tempat sebegini?

Tapi nak beratur ikut tour tu jenuh jgk nak menunggu turn. So, cara lain adalah bawa masuk kereta sendiri je. Jalan masuk untuk melawat tiada masalah pun, elok je jalan dia.. lagipun jarak untuk tgk setiap senibina atau peninggalan Kaum Tsamud tu agak jauh skit. Berbaloi lah naik kereta sendiri, nak berenti lama mana pun ok je.

Pemandangan sekitar Madain Saleh

Then husband ckp, kubur ni.... hadoi, seram jugak I, terus lari keluar...hahaha

Mudahnya, sejarah umat lampau wajib diambil iktibar.
InsyaAllah...

Wassalam

Assalamualaikum everyone!
We're taking a look back at the most notable events of 2015.
 March 21st - 23rd
And after our last trip for 2014, We are here now all excited and jiggly ready to share with you our most recent wanderlust destination that is Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. Our honeymoon trip for 2015!

Bukti kome dah ke HCM, Vietnam
In this post we're going to go of what we think are the top things you can do and see when you’re in Saigon also officially known as Ho Chi Minh City or locally in Vietnamese as Sài Gòn.

1 - Where to Stay in Saigon?
"Make sure uolls bt research dlu sblm pegi sana. Kalo dah mls sgt, amik ni ktorg bg pilihan".
  • Dong Khoi area- Many of the large 5 star hotels are located in the Dong Khoi area of Ho Chi Minh City. You’ll find hotels like the classic Hotel Majestic Saigon and the famous Continental Hotel Saigon, located adjacent to the Opera House.
  • Pham Ngu Lao (District 1) area- the most famous budget backpacker district of Ho Chi Minh City. Since this area is dominated by foreign backpackers and travelers, Pham Ngu Lao is also a big party nightlife area, and among the hostels are numerous bars, nightclubs, and massage parlors.
  • Ben Thanh Market (Cho' Ben Thanh) area - the most well known central area of Ho Chi Minh City, the area that surrounds the landmark Ben Thanh Market "kat sini la akak2 duk gila beli kain cotton bagai". There are plenty of hotel options in the streets surrounding the market, and this is the area where many MALAYSIAN stay. Many of the hotels around Ben Thanh Market are mid range to upper level, but the location is extremely central and there are plenty of attractions and things to do in the area. Ben Thanh Market area is one of the best places to base yourself. "Ktorg pun duk dkt area ni. KENAPA? Sini ada kedai makan HALAL, berdepan je gn hotel. Tayah nak pening kepala cr kedai makan. Pastu bersebelahan dgn Ben Thanh Market yg popular utk shopping, 3 minit jln kaki je!"

2 - How to get around Saigon?
There are many different methods of getting around Saigon, and you may have to take a couple of methods to get somewhere you want to go.
  • Walk
"Memandangkan Motorsikal menguasai jalanraya dan sidewalks", Saigon is not quite as pleasant as a city for walking. For most of my time in Saigon, especially in the central areas of town, we walked everywhere (but we are kind of crazy for walking, we like to walk so we can eat more). Some of the central and most famous things to do in Ho Chi Minh City are located within walking distance, if you can handle the traffic and heat (and traffic fumes). I think walking is one the best ways to explore any city, and you can stop whenever you like, and find delicious food along your route.

Konfiden level korg kena camtu gak bila di sana
  • Motorcycle
By far the most noticeable way everyone that lives in Ho Chi Minh City gets around is by motorbike (also known as the scooter). Saigon may very well be the scooter capital of the world. There’s an astounding quantity of scooters in the city.
Beginilah keadaan traffic di Saigon, penuh dgn moto aje
  • Taxi
If you fly into Saigon, you’ll arrive at Tân SÆ¡n Nhất International Airport. From there, the easiest way to get to your hotel is probably to take a taxi. Walk outside of the airport, take a left, and you’ll see the taxis waiting for you. Vinasun is a good brand to choose "taxi ni pakai meter dan boleh dipercayai. Mcm2 taxi ada di vietnam, kalo pilih syarikat lain takut diorg tipu korg n charge melebih2. Better naik vinasun tau!"
  •  Bus
You can also take the bus, which costs just 5,000 VND . Walk out of the airport, cross the street, and look for bus #152. The bus will take you all the way to Ben Thanh Market.

public transport

3 - Things to do when you're in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City)
  • Indipendence Palace
Now a museum, but still used for official government meetings and events, the Independence Palace was the former home of the president of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
Indipendence Palace at HCMC
  •   Saigon Cathedral of Notre Dame
Welcome to Paris? This is a landmark of Ho Chi Minh City. The Cathedral Of Notre Dame marks the center of French Colonial heritage in Saigon.

Pandangan Belakang: Cathedral of Notre Dame
  •  Central Post Office
Right across the street from the Saigon’s Cathedral of Notre Dame, within the same city square, is yet another renowned landmark, the Central Post Office, that began construction back in 1886. Again, just like quite a few other buildings in Saigon, it’s the French colonial architecture that really stands out. If you’d like, you can walk into the post office, buy a postcard from Vietnam, stamp it, and send it home to your friends and family right then and there. "Interior design masih dikekalkan dari zaman kolonial Perancis. Cantik oii! Gigih ktorg hntr poskad kt kampung, 2 minggu sampai la Malaysia"

Nampak kegigihan nak beli setem?
  •  War Remnants Museum
The War Remnants Museum in Saigon is definitely not a fun attraction to visit.
But it is a place to remember the horrible effects that come as a result of war. Most of the inside of the War Remnants Museum is filled with photography, shown in exhibitions, about various events of the Vietnam War. You are free to walk around the various photo and journalist displays. Surrounding the museum, within the compound grounds are displays of previously used military weapons, tanks, and aircraft. "Sediakan tisu ye, sedih tgk kesan drp perang Vietnam antara tentera VietKong vs US Army. Diorg bt kerja-kerja utk charity."

Anak yg lahir cacat.
kesan Agent Orange (Allahu Akhbar!)
  • Ben Thanh Market
"Syurga shopping utk rakyat Malaysia. Mostly, supplier2 kain pasang byk ambik di Saigon (selain Bandung). Cotton, prada lace ect. murah2 kt sini. Rambang mata kami tau. Banyak lorong2 kecil dlm market ni. Korg jgn harap kalo tak spend 3 4 jam kt sini. Penjual pandai gak ckp Melayu tau". If you’re shopping for clothes, souvenirs, Vietnamese cookware, or dry foods like nuts or dried fruit, tea or coffee, you could easily spend a few hours getting lost in the tiny, stuffed lanes of the market. Additionally the surrounding streets of Ben Thanh Market are a major hub of transportation and a major business district, always full of action and energy. In the evening, along the roads just outside Ben Thanh Market, they close down the roads to traffic and open them as a night market with a few restaurants and touristy shops. This is one of the main night markets in Ho Chi Minh City.

Keadaan di dalam Ben Thanh Market

  • Chu Chi Tunnel
If you know the history of the Vietnam War, you would know that the VietKong (Vietnamese Communist) built the tunnels to hide from the Americans. The vast network of tunnels were 250km long and and no matter how the American soldiers tried to bomb them (and killed many Vietnamese in the process), the Viet Kong just kept rebuilding them. It was a really unique structure to visit. "Kat sini korg akan rasa kagum dgn VietKong, KENAPA? diorg lg bijak dr Amerika oii.. ko mampu nk bt tunnel sepanjang2 tu dgn kudrat tgn 2 kerat tu? hidup dalam tu? korg boleh tgk tunnel ni berlayer2 bwh tanah tu. Sbb tu US kalah perang ni (dlm tv biasala, US mana nak ngaku diorg kalah kan2). US dah fed up sbb cr tak jumpa VietKong ni.. dats y la diorg bomb merata ikut suka hati diorg. Org kampung tak bersalah pn kena la. teruk kan3? "

Kecik beb lubang nk masuk ni. Nasib 'the husband' lepas..huahuahua

  • Food
Believe it or not, Vietnam is the biggest coffee exporter in the world. Vietnamese coffee is excellent – and it's inexpensive and available nearly everywhere. It cost USD1 = RM3 per cup, you can pay in both currencies. "Penyediaan yg unik. Ada 2 syarikat yg slalu nmpk jual kopi ni. Yg pakai baju Merah atau Oren. Bapak sedap kopi diorg! Korg patut try".

Pho' beef / meatball. It taste like "kueyteow / mee sup". Very delicious and you should try this food at Hajah Basiroh (HALAL).

Cukup dulu sampai sini. If you guys would like to ask us anything, boleh je pm or e-mail ktorg di ordinary2awesome@gmail.com .Till Then!

2014, was our first annivesary. We've plan to go to Bandung to celebrate it. A lot of people asked why we chose Bandung instead of Bali for honeymoon. Well, "ikut sukalah, duit ktorg kan..grrr" Of course we have to consider about the food.. "Bandung ni byk makanan HALAL, Bali cam krg sket. Pastu, keterujaan wife yg nak shopping."(The Husband). This part I cannot resist! haha (The wife)

March 21st-23rd.
Bukti kome dah ke Bandung

1 - PLANNING
Bring along your money in both currencies (IDR & RM). Some shops accept both currencies. Cash is king. Credit cards are only accepted in larger shops, and some shops have different kind of card readers which unable to read Malaysian credit cards. Tipping is a commodity everywhere in Bandung. So best to keep some IDR1,000 notes with you."Kalo korg pegi dgn supir, tak perlu la nk bg, sebab supir dah siap2 provide dlm diorg punya pakej. You will do a lot of walking (a lot!) at the factory outlets. So bring on your most comfortable walking shoes. High heels? That’s spell trouble. Bandung can get a bit chilly after 6pm (as low as 19 Celsius). A jacket or sweater is probably a good idea.

2- ARRIVAL
Seeing how they drive in Bandung might be a culture shock to you as everybody drive their own way in the traffic. It is definitely a good idea to leave the drivings to the driver (supir). At the airport, you will have your first taste of the road peddlers, selling everything from key-chains, souvenir pens, beads, t-shirts and other stuff. If you’re not buying (yet), just ignore them and avoid any eye contact. Pastu dtg lak penjual yg len keliling ko. jenuh wehh. Pak Supir ktorg ada bg advise gak. Selalunya yg penjual yg mengekor ko tu jual mahal! Baik beli kat kedai. Yes, mmg betol!".

3 - ACCOMMODATION
Since there’s a probability that you’ll do you shopping from early morning until night, hotel rooms would be used only for bathing and sleeping. So go for cheaper rooms. The best should be within the Factory Outlets (FO).
4 - TRAVELING
The FOs are everywhere in Bandung, so a proper transportation and tour guide definitely a must. The drivers can act as your local tour guide, as they are well-versed around Bandung, and all of them can speak and understand Bahasa Malaysia. "Tak perlu la uolls nak translate from Bahasa Malaysia to Bahasa Indonesia, Nanti jadi klakar..haha".

5 - FOOD
HALAL FOOD & Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) are everywhere but no McDs. "Nasihat skit, jgn la beli makanan yg tepi2 jln, roda 3 ke ape kt tepi jln tu. Dikhuatiri skt perut".

6 - SIGHTSEEING
The weather is cooler the higher you go up the mountain. But once you go near the craters, it’s hot as hell. Entering the volcanic park will cost you IDR35,000 per person. "Dgr cite harga dah naik skrg, Korang boleh tgk kt website tourism Indonesia".
Tangkuban Perahu. Jgn lupa Pakai Mask tau.
Maaflah takleh blanja gambar byk2, sebab takde dlm laptop ni..heheh
If you guys would like to ask us anything, boleh je pm or e-mail ktorg di ordinary2awesome@gmail.com .Till Then!

Let's back in time. How about a couple of years. 2014...

7th September 2014
One day Singapore trip by car.

There are various ways to get to Singapore - by air, road, or sea. If you are entering Singapore from Malaysia by car like we did, there are a few things to be prepared before you enter.

1 - The journey from Kuala Lumpur to Tuas checkpoint usually takes about three and half hours if you stick to the speed limit and reasonable traffic conditions prevail. "Jgn la uolls pegi weekend or peak season. Jammed gilers!"

2 - At the Malaysian border your passport will be checked, which we found to be a quick and smooth process. You then drive across the bridge linking Malaysia to Singapore and get in line for immigration. There are signs warning of penalties for failure to follow the road rules, so be polite and wait your turn! "Jgn lupa Touch N Go korg ye. Nak kena byr tol gak tau!"

3 - You'll need to present your passport to immigration authorities from your car window, and first time visitors will need to park after they go through immigration to get an arrival card. (Even if you've got some cards from friends you need to stop here anyway to purchase your Autopass card.) You enter the immigration office, fill out your arrival card and an official will process your arrival. Be sure to grab a pile of arrival cards so you won't have to do this on your next visit.

4 - Next door to the immigration office is the VEP/Toll Pass office. You should bring your car insurance and registration details which are briefly looked at by officials, and fill out the form. When done, you present them to the staff at the cash register and pay $6SGD for the card (which is valid for seven years) and $4SGD for preloaded credit - $10SGD in total (you must have Singaporean currency for this).

5 - Top ups are easily made at any 7-11 and it is very important to note that you must have sufficient credit to pay the exiting tolls when leaving to avoid an "insufficient credit" administration fee. Each time you cross the Tuas border a $3.20SGD fee is incurred so even if you don't use the card while in Singapore you'll still need to top up before you leave to have enough credit to exit (and some more to enter again if you think you'll do the trip another time). Also remember when exiting that you MUST insert your Autopass card in the gate or you will be charged a hefty fine. Every weekend the levy to drive in the city is free, but during the weekdays it's an expensive $35SGD daily.

6 - The staff at both immigration and the VEP/Toll Pass office were incredibly helpful. They answered all of our questions and provided polite assistance.

7 - Once done the first time, the two steps of exiting the car to get arrival cards (remember to get a pile of extras for future trips!) and purchasing the Autopass card is avoided on further trips, cutting the travel time down by a good 20 minutes.

8 - Finally, before heading to the city, the Singaporean customs authorities do a final check inside the trunk of the car and the passenger cabin. Don’t forget to buckle up and have a safe trip to Singapore!
Kagum dengan Singapore, Negara yg bersih
Yg dibangga2kan oleh Singaporean

These past 3 years certainly created a lot of memorable moments that we will forever remember, or at least for a very long time.  These memorable moments are not all positive.  Some came from “negative” experiences, but even these negative moments had something that made them as memorable as they are. We're taking a look back at the most notable events of 2013.

March 23rd
Our big day! Officially Husband & Wife :)
"Belanja Sikit Gambar Kahwin"

June 17th - 24th/25th
The wife wrote: When I was in college, I was so obsessed with K-Pop, Korean TV series and movies that my mom once told me that I’d probably get married to a Korean. (Masin mulut mak, dpt la menantu ala2 Korean - Chinese look pn ok what?, muahaha)
The husband wrote: Our dream to go to K-Pop country finally came true!  Honeymoon to Seoul & Jeju Island, South Korea. Here, We’ve rounded up some travel tips for first-time tourists in Seoul for a successful budget trip to K-Pop country.
"Bukti, kome dah ke Korea"

Travel tips!
1- Don’t be ambitious with your itinerary
Trust us on this. After 9 days in Korea with each day having an average of 3 destinations/activities squeezed in, we never felt so exhausted in our entire life. We know you want to make the most out of your Seoul trip, but we're telling you, you’ll want to be a smart traveler by NOT following every schedule of activities in our ambitious itinerary. "korg klik link to utk view itinerary ktorg di Korea".

2. The Subway will be your bff
Every place is conveniently reachable by their subway. I recommend that you print out the subway mapor. "map tu mungkin mengelirukan anda, tp percayalah, lepas study betul2, tak keliru pun okay...korg akan rasa kagum. Bertingkat-tingkat subway diorg bawah tanah tu. Malaysia ptt buat mcm ni, takla jammed tak tentu psl dengan kete bagai. Ye dok??" You’ll realize how much of a genius its planner is when you experience it. :) Another thing, most subway stations are just a few blocks away from each other, just walk if you don’t mind stretching your legs and doing more sightseeing. Tak kira la baca buku apa, janji baca. Camtu la kot diorg nak abeskan masa dalam train. Bagus sungguh..."

Subway Metro Map

Nampak tak? Membaca dlm train menjadi satu budaya di Korea

3. Research you destinations
If you can see in our itinerary, we included the directions for every destination: which subway lines to take and which exit number to get out of. Take the wrong exit and you’re gonna waste a lot of time trying to find the place you want to go to. Korea has a very detailed website for how to get to tourist destinations by bus or subway. But we highly suggest you take the subway when going around the city. Signages in Korea have english translations so don’t worry if you don’t know how to read Korean. Make sure the place you want to go to still exists or is open. "sebelum pegi, ktorg research & buka blog traveller2 yg pernah ke Korea, dari situ ktorg senaraikan tempat2, jarak perjalanan dll."

Persembahan diraja di Istana Lama. Mcm ni la kot entertainment dolu2
4. Get a Hostel/Apartment/ Hotel Near Subway Stations
See that Line 1 in blue in the subway map? That’s the main subway line that is connected to almost every other subway line. Moreover, you can easily get to the main tourists spots such as Myeongdong, Seoul station, Gyeongbokgung Palace(Gwanghwamun), Insadong, etc.

Guesthouse yg comel. Mcm dlm drama Korea tuu..haha (di Jeju Island)

Check-in at Robero Hotel. Booking thru Agoda. Time ni ktorg bertuah, dapat bilik super besar dgn harga murah!
5. Don't exchange all your money at the airport
Foreign exchange centers are available in every busy corner especially in shopping areas, so don’t exchange all your money at the airport (you’ll get better rates in the city). Exchange money just enough for your train or bus ride to your hostel.
6. Get T-Money!
The Korean T-Money is similar to Malaysia's Touch N Go card. You can get a T-Money card at the airport  and load more credit at convenience stores. This is the card that you will be flashing when riding the subway or buses or taxi around Seoul & Jeju Island.
Cth T-Money Card
7. Get Connected Anywhere with wi-fi
From coffee shops, fast food restaurants, to the subway, your device will detect Wi-Fi hotspots. "Boleh dikatakan semua tempat/jalan ada wi-fi, tayah duk menangis tak dpt update blog/fb/twitter bagai..haha." Is Internet in Korea really that fast? Haha, YES IT IS!! :)

8. NO English!
We have A LOT of funny No English moments in Korea. Asking locals for directions or what food they’re eating so you can order it too, is unavoidable especially when you’re in Korea. Majority don’t speak English so asking around can take a lot of time because of finding someone who can understand you and can talk to you. Don’t be surprised if they run away, it happens. HAHA! "punya la takut sbb tak pandai ckp omputih". Download korean translator apps or prepare a list of phrases in Korean that you can use when asking around. "sebelum pegi korang ptt tgk movie/drama Korea tau. Bagi lidah tu lembut sket.haha". You can also ask your hostel/hotel front desk (who understands english) to write down in Hangul the place you’re going to or the food you want to eat. You can also put photos of tourist destinations in your phone that you can show to people that you ask for directions from.

8. Sorry, but you won't bump into your favorite Korean singers or actors
But you will see a lot of them in the city if they’re really famous at the moment, well not the real them, but in billboards or cardboard standups. muahaha

9. Set a budget for shopping
Night markets, malls, and shopping areas are included in our itinerary. Though we just wanted to check them out, it was hard to fight the temptation! If you’re a big fan of Korean cosmetics, better get ready for A LOT of shopping. Cosmetic shops are all over Seoul, you can even find them in subway stations! You won’t be able resist it."betul tak tipu, skin food bagai semua ada, murah pn murah. Patut la retis diorg lawa2 (plastic surgery) haha. Korg jgn terpedaya tgk dlm tv org Korea cantik2. Hakikatnya Melayu kita lagi cantik okehh".

Lbh krg 1.5km. Amazing!

Cukup dulu sampai sini. If you guys would like to ask us anything, boleh je pm or e-mail ktorg di ordinary2awesome@gmail.com .Till Then!
